Arriving back in Perth after our amazing month in Africa. It was apparent we need to spend some time in Tassie to provide support and assistance to my Parents.
Following several strokes over proceeding years Dad was being cared for at home by my mum. It was an opportunity to help mum out especially helping navigate through the bureaucracy of home care assistance but also the opportunity to spend some time with my parents. There is also the issue of a few mile beaches here as well.
Joanne spent a lot of this time back in Canberra helping her mother through post knee reconstructive surgery, so I did have some time away from my travelling partner. Unfortunately, on the 5 June 2019 Dad passed away. Sad as it always is, it was fitting I spent time with Dad at his end.
