Having finished the Gibb River Road, a few days in Derby we arrived back in Broome. It was time to give the Digger Caravan a rest so we packed the camp stretchers and headed north up the Dampier Peninsular.
Cape Leveque or in broader geographical terms Dampier Peninsular is one of Joannes top bucket list destinations. So I consider it important to let her navigate and choose our camping destination. Well after nearly getting us stranded on a wild abandoned fire tril we found the best campsite on the Peninsular, Smithy’s Seaside Adventures.
The beach resort was rustic but tranquil, we remained there for three days, fishing, crabbing and relaxing. Our exploration of the Peninsular extended to many other areas of the romantic, pristine coastal region we are both planning to return.
