Ok job number two; cumulative distance travelled to work 4,626km. Canberra to Arrino then Walpole.
We had been communicating for some time with the management at Summerstar Caravan Parks and following a interview at Geraldton we got a short term casual cleaning positions at Rest Point Caravan Park in Walpole WA, 745km to the south of Arrino. We finished Arrino CBH on a Friday and started work Walpole, Rest Point Caravan Park the following Tuesday.
We worked pretty hard, however the working days were short usually 10am to 2pm and we had lots of days off to go exploring. Walpole is a beautiful place usually cool in summer and with a incredible coastline and gigantic tall tree forests, we did some amazing exploring and adventures.
Two incidents that are going to hard to forget; finding a butchered tiger shark on Conspicuous Cliff Beach, and also helping some stranded fishing inspectors on a remote 4WD track in the middle of West Frankland State Forest.
We did lots of exploring and camping along the Southern Ocean coast, if you find yourself in the district make sure you do two things; climb Mt Franklin, magnificent view, and do the ECO WOW wilderness boat cruise through Walpole and Nornalup inlet. Google Gary the WOW cruise director is the funniest and most informative tour guide you are ever likely to meet.
